ABOUT KJ
|
|

My name is Ken Koch Jr. (KJ) and I am a full time rancher, farrier and clinician. I run a self funded horse rescue and reserve as well as train all breeds of horses including Mustangs. I am known for taking the most ornery of horses and working them through their problems to make them useful and well mannered companions to their owners. Rather than fighting the horse, I offer patience and understanding that leaves the horse wanting to do what is asked of it.
I also empower horse owners and riders with the tools and skills they need to be successful and connect with their horse. I create custom programs that build confidence and trust between horse and rider, helping them work better as a team in any discipline.
I hold demonstrations at the BLM Adoptions as well as conduct my own clinics. Clinic topics range from basic to advanced horsemanship, horse starting and finishing, ranch and cattle work, problem and behavioral solving, trailer loading, desensitizing, trail obstacle training, rider confidence courses, and much more.
The methods I use have been proven and used for over 25 years and are safe and without abuse. The lightest touch demands respect as horses are herd and instinct driven animals and will either lead or be led, it is not personal. I do what I truly love, which is helping the horse and mankind to live together in harmony. To be able to control and guide your horse without touch is true horsemanship.
