Barbara and Rocky
I have a three year old Rocky Mountain Horse colt that KJ started training when he was a two-year old. He was taught ground manners and broke to ride. That was in 2008. Rocky sat and did nothing for about a year and a half. I called on KJ again in Sept. 2009. I had another Rocky Mountain Horse that needed some manners. Electra. She was diagnosed with gastric ulcers when she was just 6 months old, she has been on ulcer medicine her whole life, so I was afraid of making her worse with training. KJ was very gentle with her and watched her close to make sure she was not stressed with any of her training. He had her looking forward to her lessons. She not only has ground manners now but she is also ride-able. Now back to Rocky, he sat for a year and a half with no one riding him, or brushing him up on his ground work. In November of 2009 my husband and KJ decided I needed some confidence riding lessons. I was not comfortable riding Rocky because he was so tall and he was just a three year old with virtually no hours under saddle, other than his training. I have been working with KJ three days a week and I can't believe the difference these classes have made in my riding. I am riding Rocky thanks to KJ. I look forward to my lessons. With out him I never would have pushed myself to ride Rocky and a great horse would have just sat idle. Rocky's training that KJ did stuck with him all that time that I let him sit idle. It was like picking up where we left off, and Rocky loves the attention KJ gives him. I want KJ to know how grateful I am for his patience and understanding when I'm hesitant about doing something new.
KJ is starting another horse for me now she is a eight year old mare that hasn't been ridden in four years. She was used as brood mare, I am confident he will have her looking like a champion in no time. Thanks KJ Barbara Ray Queen Creek AZ.
